For each keyword: monthly searches × the expected click-through rate at its position. Positions move toward your target along an S-curve, so growth starts slowly, speeds up and then levels off.

How accurate is an SEO forecast?

It is an estimate. Search volumes differ between tools and CTR varies with ads and AI Overviews, which is why you get three scenarios.

What target position should I use?

Be realistic: top 3 for keywords where you already rank on page one, top 5-10 for harder ones. Leave it empty to use our default rule.
